Plant a Tree - American Forests is a world leader in planting trees for environmental restoration, a pioneer in the science and practice of urban forestry, and a primary communicator of the benefits of trees and forests. Over 80% of the world’s forests have been destroyed or degraded – half of that in just the last 30 years alone. American Forests works to restore our environment before it’s gone for good.  The charitable action associated with American Forests is the planting of one tree.   Teach a Rural Farmer Sustainable Farming - EcoLogic works with poor, rural communities to help them become better environmental stewards and improve their living conditions by saving indigenous forests, promoting sustainable agriculture, and managing critical water supplies. EcoLogic conserves unique landscapes by putting poor, rural communities in charge of managing local natural resources. EcoLogic currently operates in Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Belize, and Panama. The charitable action associated with EcoLogic is training of sustainable farming techniques to one rural farmer in the developing world.   Provide Clean Drinking Water for One Year - The Water Project, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization working to bring relief to people around the world who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water. By providing safe, clean water by digging wells, catching the rain or filtering dirty sources, The Water Project helps communities improve their health, strengthen education and restore hope. Nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink. The goal of The Water Project is to help them find it and teach them how to use it, so lives can change. The charitable action associated with The Water Project is providing one person with clean drinking water for one year.
